Aloha! My name is Hilo Ka Popoki and I hail from the big island of Hawaii via Toronto Canada and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Yes, I am quite the travelling cat. Travel with Hilo was inspired by me! After travelling with Michael and his husband Marcio for many years I quickly learned that they know how to plan and travel well..
I asked Michael to consider opening a small boutique travel agency that can provide personalized service, after all he has many years in the travel industry and has incredible insight from travelling the globe. I am sure you will see the difference in all the little things we do that will greatly enhance your experience. Mahalo and Meow.
Meet Hilo Ka Popoki
President and CEO
After career achievements with Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, Air France, along with other key roles in global airlines and travel management companies, you’d expect Michael to be all business. But, he never lets the rules overrule common sense or a great relationship. Following the acquisition of Northwest Airlines by Delta Air Lines, Michael was selected to lead in a newly-created role of Manager of Specialty Sales for the Canadian market.

Michael ended his career at Delta in the Global Agency Sales team and managed high-visibility, global accounts of critical importance, dedicated to the Carlson Wagonlit Travel team and the Global Energy Sector. Michael is thrilled to bring his wealth of travel industry knowledge and expertise with the launch of Travel with Hilo.
Marcio Duarte brings a diverse background that specializes in many technical and creative disciplines that make significant contributions to Travel with Hilo. Marcio is directly responsible for data management, information and CRM platforms which includes analytics, reporting, trending and database management.
Marcio also directs the companies social media strategy, customer experience touch points and operational processes.
Marcio has a passion for travel and at last count, he has visited over 25 countries, spanning the globe from Tahiti to Iceland.
